Digital Fabrication of Functionally Graded PEN for SOFC by APS

The technology combined the plasma spray and robot digital forming was presented to prepare the PEN core components of SOFC. On the basis of the optimizing technology conditions and transferring path of plasma spraying gun, functional gradient powder-feeder system self-developed was applied to prepare the MOLB PEN of SOFC, and carbon powder was acted as pore-forming substance. Then microstructure of PEN sample was analyzed with SEM and the AC complex impedance technology. The results show that the variation of PEN composition is continuous gradient transition,and the expected aim of making the composition and microstructure of PEN coating continuous gradient variation has achieved, thus the match of thermal expansion coefficient of PEN is improved effectively. Moreover,the porosity of electrode is increased. Comparing with the electrolyte prepared by casting,the electrical conductivity of sample is increased in wide-range.
