Workpiece Related Quality Management on High-End Thermal Spray Systems

In an increasing number of thermal spray applications, quality documentation gains in importance. Up to now, quality assurance reports over the coating process itself usually listed thermal spray process parameters only. This paper describes the structure, features and benefits of an extended quality assurance report system, covering also detailed workpiece and manipulator related parameters. Additionally, the requirements for archiving reports from a group of thermal spray systems to a company network are discussed.
