Summary: Recent application of thermal spray technology to the power plants and the industrial machines will be described. Improvement of the thermal efficiency and endurace of the power plants is strongly required for the reduction of CO2 emission. Thermal spray technology will meet these requirements because of its high functions of thermal barrier,wear resistance and corrosion resisitance. The materials and processes to increase these functions will be discussed.
