Plasma sprayed ceramic coatings have been widely used in industrial applications to attain valuable properties, such as high hardness, anti-wear, anti-corrosion, barrier of thermal conduction, low friction and so on. Electric properties is one of the important function in the ceramic coatings. Electric properties of plasma sprayed ceramic coatings are investigated in this study. Wide varieties of ceramic materials are selected to prepare the coatings, such as aluminum oxide, yttrium oxide, titanium oxide, YSZ, spinel, and so on. Influence of powder properties, such as purity and size, on the properties is also compared in selected materials. Electric resistance, leakage current, breakdown voltage (electric strength) and dielectric properties are compared and discussed among these coatings
