Abstract:
Rosebank Engineering is a major research center for the development and application of Cold Spray for aerospace applications. Rosebank Engineering has already successfully applied this technology to in-service military aerospace repairs and is continuing to undertake research into various cold spray applications in both the Defence and Commercial arenas. This technology is providing a number of exciting and cost benefit outcomes particularly in the corrosion protection and restoration of corroded/damaged metallic components/structure to an acceptable level of structural integrity and functionality. To this end the presentation outlines Cold Spray application activity to date the on- going development of this technology for cost effective and innovative applications
