In recent years, marked progress has been made in carbide based wear and corrosion-resistance coating for use in aerospace industry. Such high performance materials is applied to replace chrome plating in corrosive and wear enviroment, reducing costs and time in various industrial applications.Carbide coating can be deposited on stainless steel by high velocity oxygen fuel thermal spraying by MJP-6000(Developed and patented by Metallizing Equipment Co.Pvt. Ltd, Jodhpur.India).The microstructure of such coating was analyzed herein using an optical microscope and scanning electron microscope to monitor the morphologies of both powder and coating of carbide. The goal of this work to enhance the corrosion and wear properties of these coatings. The results of this investigation reveal compatibility of coating with different test which includes immersion fluid test, corrosion test, bond strength etc.
