Two tungsten carbides WC-12Co produced by Inframat S7412 (nanostructured) and Amperit 519.074 (conventional) were used. For HVOF spraying a Hybrid Diamond Jet (Sulzer Metco) gun was applied. Scuffing resistance of HVOF sprayed coatings was studied using a Falex type tester. The microstructure of the sprayed coatings was analysed with microscopes FEI COMPANY Novaä NanoSEM 200 and JOEL JSM-5400, whereas the element distribution with a microprobe ISIS 300 Oxford Instruments. The roughness of coatings was measured with a a Talysurf CCI-Lite non-contact 3D profiler, whereas to study their hardness a CSM Micro Identation Tester was used. HVOF sprayed nanostrustured WC-12Co coatings demonstrated better scuffing resistance,  the most homogeneous structure and higher hardness.
