Measurement of elastic waves on substrate in cold spray

FEM play a great role in development of CS theoretical. However, it is due to the special situation in CS, which makes it impossible to perform accurate analytical calculations. The information of elastic waves propagation on substrate is a relatively easy determination parameters in CS process, which can be used as a useful boundary conditions for numerical simulation. In this paper, based on the hopkinson pressure bar (HPB) experimental technique we designe a detection method for elastic waves on substrate. Al2O3 as the sprayed particle used in the experiment. The information of the elastic waves focused on the high frequency band, after remove the interfering signal. The amplitude of the elastic waves signal increase with the increase of impact particle energy.
