The New CenterLine SST PX and EPX Cold Spray Equipment Platform Julio Villafuerte, Ph.D., P.Eng * *Corporate technology strategist at CenterLine (Windsor) Ltd., 595 Morton Dr, Windsor, Ontario, Canada Email: Julio.villafuerte@cntrline.com Cold spray technology emerged as a practical technology in the 1980’s from the Russian Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk. As we move into 2019 and beyond, the pace of the commercial implementation of this technology continues to grow, especially in aerospace and advanced manufacturing applications. Aerospace continues to pioneer the commercial implementation of cold spray technology in applications such as non-structural dimensional restoration, corrosion repair, seal surfaces repair of high value aircraft components. The new Cold spray applications include structural repair, mass production, and additive manufacturing. Volume production applications demands process low cost, reliability, repeatability, maintainability, and productivity. This presentation outlines the new advances in industrial equipment which are focused in satisfying these requirements.
