The effect of the spraying parameters and heat treatment on properties of Ti-6Al-4V coating deposited by low pressure plasma spraying were investigated. The porosity in the coating can be reduced from 4.8% to 1.5% with increased melting degree of the powders by change of spray parameters. Subsequent heat treatment resulted in some recrystallization and grain growth for the coatings. The heat-treated (≥1000℃) are mainly equiaxed α phase with residual β phase distribution in α phase grain boundaries, meanwhile the hardness increased with isothermal heat treatment temperature.
