Application of Materials Science to Military Systems Symposium

Overview:
Demands placed on military systems require selection of materials that permit increased performance without increasing maintenance or lifecycle costs. Materials scientists and engineers are working to develop novel materials and modify fabrication processes and properties of conventional materials to meet these requirements. This program focuses on the development of materials to meet ever-increasing demands placed on military systems. Papers will show cost and performance benefits of some recently developed materials.
