QDE Opening Keynote Session: Dr. D. Scott MacKenzie, FASM, retired, Quaker Houghton, presents, “Legacy of the Quenching and Distortion Engineering Conference – People, Places and Impact”.
Tuesday, May 6, 2025: 9:00 AM-10:00 AM
Room 19 (Vancouver Convention Centre)
The Quenching and Distortion Engineering conference has a long international participation and impact. This conference series, combined in 2012 from the Quenching and Control of Distortion Conference Series, and the IWT Distortion Engineering Conference series, has captured the science and technology of understanding residual stress, and the impact on processing during heat treatment and other processing. The participants have spanned the globe. Many of these international participants are truly the leaders in the field of quenching and distortion engineering and have served as mentors to many of us. This is their story.
