Effect of Allyl Triphenyl Phosphonium Bromide on the electrochemical and corrosion behavior of Mild Steel in 1N Sulfuric Acid

K. Bhrara, G. Singh, University of Delhi, Delhi, India

View in WORD format

Summary: Allyl Triphenyl Phosphonium Bromide (ATPPB) is evaluated as the potential corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 1N sulfuric acid. Electrochemical results are supplemented by Infrared studies, Surface Morphological studies and finally by Quantum Chemical analysis. An attempt has been made to relate the structural properties to adsorption processes and inhibition efficiencies
