Summary: Solid lubricants have been widely used for wear or friction reduction. This work has addressed to develop a nanocomposite coating that exhibits low coefficient of friction and high wear resistance for the application of high-pressure fuel pump in direct injection engines. The self-lubricating nanocomposites with a solid lubricant additive was the first proposed.
