Pin-On-Disc Study Examining Friction and Wear Coefficients for PEEK on 6061 Aluminum in Dry Sliding Conditions

J. E. Buehler, K. D. Bowles, Kinetitec, spokane, WA

The pin-on-disc study compares the coefficients of friction and wear for a PEEK on Aluminum Tribocouple. The tribocouple was tested in dry sliding condition for untreated surfaces and for surfaces treated with dry lubricants. Surfaces treated with dry lubricants were prepared using Kinetitec’s Induratec process.
