We have noted TiPt as super high-temperature shape memory alloys since the phase transformation temperature of TiPt was found to be between 1236 K (Mf) and 1330 K (Af). In this study, the shape memory behavior of TiPt is investigated in detailed. The small shape recovery and superelasticity were observed in TiPt by a thermal expansion test. Furthermore, the interesting behavior, the strain recovery by unloading after deformation below Mf, was observed by a loading-unloading compression test. To understand the shape memory behavior of TiPt, the shape memory behavior was investigated at several testing temperatures. The microstructure evolution by heat treatment was also investigated. The effect of microstructure evolution on the shape memory behavior will be indicated.
