A Shape memory alloy (SMA) is applied to various fields, for example industrial and medical fields. The shape memory effect and superelasticity are repeatedly used in some applications of SMA. However, the functions of SMA are deteriorated by using repeatedly and the material cost of the SMA is expensive. Reuse of SMA is enabled if the function of SMA is revived by heat-treatment. For this reason, in order to clarify the effect of heat treatment condition on the recovery of function of Ti-Ni SMA, the previous research has investigated the effect of heat treatment temperature on the recovery of function of Ti-Ni alloy and revealed the optimal heat-treatment temperature for function recovery of Ti-Ni alloy. The present research investigates the effect of heat-treatment time on the recovery of function of Ti-Ni alloy.
