The focus of this project is to observe the characteristic of the cyclic behaviour of some Shape Memory Alloys under complex solicitations.

A first model (uni-dimensional) which was presented in SMST 2006 was developed to simulate the behaviour of SMA under a simple repetitive loading (tension or compression). The new model is a modified and extended version of its previous which can simulate the evolution of SMA's behaviour under a complex recurrent charge.

The first part of this study investigated experimentally the cyclic behaviour of SMA under various tension-compression solicitations. The thermal dissipation aspect has also studied using an infrared camera.

The multiaxial phenomenological model thus presented, with the purpose of modelling the behaviour changes due to the cycling under complex loading (but proportional loading).

At last comparison between numerical and experimental tests were done to validate the multiaxial model.
