The objective of this work is to investigate processing-texture-property relationships in polycrystalline Ni47Ti44Nb9 alloy. Three different deformation processes were used: (1)cold-drawn, (2)hot-extruded, (3) cold-rolled. The textures after three different processes were investigated by X-ray and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), and then crystalline orientation distribution functions (ODF) were measured. The cold-drawn specimen contained a strong <111> fiber texture paralleling the deformation direction, while cold-rolled specimen formed {113} <110 >, {113} <112 > types. The recoverability of NiTiNb pipe couplings with different textures was notably different, which has been discussed based on crystalline orientation-transformation strain model.
