Ankle traumatic osteoarthritis and partly deformity will seriously influence moving function of lower limbs. Ankle arthrodesis, alleviating pain and providing joint stability, is the best way to treat ankle lesions. Traditional ankle fusion surgery not only cause damage, but also takes a long time for fusion. In order to overcome this problem, we introduce Shape Memory Alloy  device into ankle arthrodesis. On one hand, it fits current pressurized fusion theory; on the other hand, it also meets minimally invasive requirements. We applied this technology to 54 ankle arthrodesis, and all the patients got good and excellent results.
