Fatigue Coupon Evaluation of Ultra Fine Inclusion Nitinol Tubing

An established fatigue coupon design and process were used to evaluate and compare the fatigue life of ultra fine inclusion nitinol tubing versus tubing with greater inclusion size and higher inclusion area. The material was characterized for stress strain curve response and fatigue life based upon 10 million cycles was determined with probability statistics. The results are presented and analysis of the results along with SEM images of failure areas.
