View in WORD format

Summary: The influence of micro-segregation on cold cracking in unidirectionally solidified low alloy steel weld metal, not generally considered susceptible to cold cracking, was examined. The segregation mechanism was determined and the variation in composition related to the microstructure and mechanical properties in the segregated region.
