Summary: In-situ x-ray diffraction measurements using high energy synchrotron radiation have been used to observe the growth and dissolution of sigma phase precipitates in 2205 duplex stainless steel samples. Using these results, the kinetics of the growth of the sigma phase precipitates are ex-amined, and Time-Temperature-Transformation (TTT) curves are constructed.
