Summary: This paper investigates microstructure - mechanical property relationships in transient liquid phase (TLP) bonds, between the single crystal nickel-base superalloy CMSX-4 and two polycrystalline superalloys IN939, and IN738. The paper considers the microstructure of bonds made using wide-gap composite interlayers of Niflex-110 and Niflex-115.
