Summary: The diffusion bonding characteristics of as-received, wrought-processed and ion-pulsed surface-treated Alloy 690 were investigated. Generally, the surface modified Alloy 690 was found to have favorable diffusion bonding characteristics when compared to standard, wrought-processed Alloy 690 at various conditions.
