Admitting for ambulatory treatment a patient affected with an Alzheimer-type senile dementia can represent for the private practitioner a medical, social and economic challenge. He is bound to find himself at the crossroads between the different care proceedings which he will have to coordinate.
Does he have the time and the means to do so? Is he adequately trained? Based on the example of the Geneva model, a range of ideas and solutions will be discussed.
