C/C composites and Ni-based alloy have the large difference in CTE values, which leads to the difficulty in brazing. In this research, the Nb foils with various thickness were inserted to the brazing interface. The shear strength of those brazed joints was highest with 200 – 300 µm foil thickness. The microstructure of the joints’ interface revealed the resolution of the Nb foil. The suitable interlayer thickness is discussed.
