Controlled gas nitriding is recognized as an optimization of part characteristics by creation of nitrided layers with a defined layer creation corresponding to the customer demands. Mostly for the users it is difficult to get from the base material, nitriding hardness depth NHD, compound layer thickness CLT and case hardness CH according drawing, the right parameter for: - Temperature and/or soaking time, - The nitriding potential, What from: - The growth of the compound layer as well - The nitriding hardness depth and hardness, results. The presentation describes and shows a new software for nitriding and ferretic nitrocarburizing with pre calculations for nitriding hardness depth and compound layer thickness as well as display of Lehrer/Kunze diagram.
