Two pipelines meet in the desert. The first one says you look hot. The second says I burn for you. One pipeline is neglected and in need of attention, the other is strong with plenty of integrity. Their closeness will be devastating. Their interactions leave both consumed by their powerful internal pressures. This event will have disastrous consequences for everyone around them. This vailed and almost humorous wording describes a sequence of event that resulting in a fire and explosion that had serious outcomes. Presented will be involved pipeline corrosion issues, integrity issues, as well as fire and explosion causation and mitigation.
