Failure Analysis of a Laminated Glass Swimming Pool Wall

Glass pool wall Investigation into the fracture of a laminated glass pool wall over 16 ft long. It was suspected that a nearby fire feature potentially exposed the laminated glass to thermal stresses. The cementitious supporting structure around the laminated glass wall was also degraded and rebars were subjected from pool water ingress. A thorough failure analysis of the laminated glass wall was performed to assess the root cause of the fracture and potential contributing factors.
