Failure of Polymeric Residential Water Filter Housings

A through wall fracture in polymeric water filters housings (both under the sinks and in equipment such as refrigerators) can occur without warning. The presentation will review cases where freezing events were suspected. An overview of mechanisms and tests that can reveal degradation/oxidation in polymeric housing material of construction will also be performed.
