In this study, the deposition behavior of Sn particle on the Cu substrates with different preheating temperatures was experimentally studied for the first time. The single particle surface morphology and cross-section were observed by the SEM. The effect of substrate temperature on the particle bonding ratio and interfacial features was studied. Moreover, the melting behavior of the deformed Sn particle was also investigated in detail. The results reveal that high-temperature helps the melting of the Sn particle. A large number of splashes can be noticed surrounding the deformed particle on the high-temperature substrate. However, the particle bonding ratio is found to not always increase with the substrate temperature.
