Reducing the weight of the structure, as a tool to increase the economic efficiency of aircraft, is one of the priorities for the development of modern aircraft technology. In the context of solving this problem, polymeric composite materials (PCM) are increasingly used to create new aircraft.

The use of PCM instead of traditional metallic materials (titanium, aluminum) is justified and very promising, but it is necessary to take into account a number of features of this class of materials. First of all, the extremely low heat resistance of polymer binders and the general vulnerability of such materials when heated or exposed to an open flame, which necessitates the use of protective coatings or screens. It is also necessary to increase the resistance of the PCM to erosion.

As a method of applying a protective polymer coating, with modifying additives, creating sufficient adhesion and corresponding to technical characteristics, gas-thermal spraying methods were chosen.

We have developed and investigated polymer coatings with modifying additives. Investigations of powder materials made it possible to choose the best coatings for thermo erosion testing.

A study was made of the change in adhesion as a function of the amount of filler in the polymer coating.
