Session 2: Forging and Heat Treatment Process Simulation
Location: C 124 (Greater Columbus Convention Center)
(Please check final room assignments on-site).
Session Description: This session will focus on process modelling, simulation, and forging with severe plastic deformation. The simulation models use the finite element code and artificial neural networks. The use of severe plastic deformation is reported for both forging and the heat treatment effects.
The session will highlight the benefits of process modelling, simulation when developing new products and processes on an industrial scale.
