Summary: The performance of Ni-based coatings can be improved by adding different hard precipitates such as cemented carbides. Laser glazing can further improve thermal sprayed coatings properties. The present paper is aimed to investigate the effect of laser glazing on the morphological, compositional and physical properties of HVOF sprayed Ni-based coatings with different WC/Co-content.
