Summary: Solution precursor plasma spray (SPPS) have been developing for making nanostructured films and coatings. The deposition of a ceramic film or coating is completed by feeding liquid precursor into a plasma plume. The Oxidation of the SPPS-formed thermal barrier coating was studied.
