Pin-On-Disc study of innovative surface treatment for reducing friction and wear utilizing solid lubricants

J. E. Buehler, K. D. Bowles, Kinetitec, spokane, WA

View in WORD format

Summary: Novel surface treatments (InduratecTM) containing solid lubricant formulations are studied for their tribological properties using a Ball-On-Disc apparatus. The friction and wear coefficients of a nested experimental design are analyzed using statistical methods. The effects of treatment composition and loading conditions are evaluated.
