Session Description: Failure analysis and testing is very crucial to almost every product and process we use today. This session will cover failure analysis of a wide range of materials including metals, plastics, coatings etc. Papers are solicited that will focus on various aspects of failure analysis and material testing including case histories, practical aspects, legal and insurance cases, physical, chemical and mechanical testing, forensic investigation, microstructure, manufacturing and engineering problems, recreation of failure, failure and degradation mechanism, failure prevention, and root-cause failure determination. Non-commercial papers from equipment vendors dealing with new and unique tools and methodologies, applications and results may be included. | ||||
