Abstract: Both Linear and superelastic Nitinol have been used for a wide range of medical and non-medical application. This research will review historical applications focusing on the utilization of linear elastic Nitinol wire and its advantages and disadvantages. In this work the absence of temperature dependence, potential strain recovery, effective modulus and other mechanical properties will be explored.
