The effect of the thermal cycling between -80°C and +100°C, -50°C and +50°C, and -30°C and +30°C on the active Af has been studied. The transformation of nickel-titanium wires was measured, and the changes were demonstrated with a non-contact system by applying the same strain and heating speed (ASTM F2082). All wires were manufactured with the same alloy and processing. The study's scope was to expose the role of cycling between defined practical temperature ranges on the active Af stability.
