The demographic inperatives in the Asia Pacific Region calls for a rapid development of all domains of academic disciplines and service delivery system to meet their rising needs. To begin to introduce neuropsychology into China, the Academic Unit for Psychiatry of Old Age of the University of Melbourne, supported by the Institute of Mental Health, Peking University and an unrestricted educational grant from Xian-Janssen developed and delivered a Three Day Introductory Training Programme to China in July 2002.
