Objective: Purpose of Research is we to show enormous potential of Psychiatry for Improving public health services.
Design: Attempt to get purpose raised some crucial points: I Essence and Role of Psychogenic Factor (PF); II Rights services.
Materials and Methods: We made use of 3 methods: Literature reviews; Own researches; Analyses. of man; III Patronage; IV Psychosomatic Dependence (PD).
Results: I Stress is part of PF. “Damaging stress is named distress. In unfavourable cases of progress of distress it is reached some kind of disease (somatic or psychic)”, Selye. We could build up qualitative new understanding about PF, reflected in 11 points. We`ll mention only 2 from them. 1. Constant presence of PF in every man. 2. PF causes neuroses, psychogenic psychoses, PMD, Schizophrenia, genuine epilepsy, Alzheimer diseases. II. “When every one become slaves of law, we’ll live freely.” (Ciceronis). III. Patronage is so much important that special institution (Religious, Church) appears for patronizing. Peoples have transformed their patrons in Saints and Gods. IV. In 1997-1998 we discovered the aspects of directions of action of PD (unpublished). Direction from psyche to body has 2 aspects: a. From psyche to body [Without Cortex of Cerebral Hemispheres. (WCCH)]; b. From psyche to its material substratum-Cortex of Cerebral Hemispheres (CH). Direction from body to psyche has also 2 aspects: a. From body (WCCH) to psyche. b. From CCH to psyche. What does PF represent? A. During social cataclysms; B. During balanced functioning of democratic society. A. During social cataclysms (wars, revolutions, economic crises, natural calamities) enormous masses of people are undeprivilegt. Their ancient and other values are in danger. Mass distress occurs. In the one of aspects of basic direction of action of PD distress is invisible link between psyche and body (WCCH). All sorts of physical diseases; untimely death; raised mortality; birth-rate decreases; original genocid; headlong movement towards demographic collapse. In that time real psychic diseases (core of Psychiatry) preserve relatively stability. We didn’t find in literature such understanding about distress and PF (V. Milev, 1979, 1994; K. Milenkov, 2001; Miroslav Popov, 2001).
Conclusion: Psychiatry possesses enormous potential for improving public health services, carrying out her prophylactic tasks. Psychiatry is able to inspire and help mobilizing public energy for prevention of social cataclysms, for building up a constitutional state, for safeguarding rights of man, for preserving and evenly distribution of material and financial wealth of Nation, vor insurance human quality of life for everybody and humanism and for aging. Psychiatrists will realize these tasks in partnership with Psychologists, Theologians, Writers, Workers of: Culture; Education; Science; Art.
