Conclusion: The authors created a 27 items questionnaire to assess the current portuguese trends concerning the clinical evaluation of Alzheimer's patients. A total of 50 questionnaires were distributed to psychiatrists and neurologists that usually manage elderly patients and 50% of them replied. The authors present the results of this survey and, based on its findings, elaborate some considerations relevant to the future intervention of the Portuguese Psychogeriatrics Association among the local scientific, political and general community.
