Session 8: Thermal Barrier Coatings 1
Location: Captiva C (Orlando Airport Marriott)
(Please check final room assignments on-site).
Session Description: This session features presentations covering thermally sprayed metallic and ceramic coatings for use in gas turbine hot section applications where high thermal loading and oxidation are significant. The session features an overview of the history and important properties of TBCs, as well as specific topics concerning thermal conductivity, degradation mechanisms, and novel testing and characterization methods.
