Keynote Presentation - Exploration for Beyond CMOS Integrated Circuit Technology for Computing
An analysis of research in quantum nanoelectronics and nanomagnetics to identify more energy efficient devices for logic beyond CMOS transistors is presented. Results of beyond-CMOS device benchmarking at the circuit level are reviewed. Based on that, trends in this research field are identified and principles for development of competitive computing technologies are formulated. Some leading options for beyond CMOS device proposals and their experimental demonstrations are reviewed.
