S036-002 The Impact of the Summer Research Institute on My Career Development as a Neuropsychologist

Barton Palmer, University of California San Diego, San Diego, CA, USA

I will provide a brief overview of the trajectory of my research career as a psychologist and neuropsychologist interested in late-life schizophrenia. My presentation will include specific discussion of the 1995 SRI, what I learned there in the lectures and in the hallways, who met and talked with there, and how these experiences and relationships shaped and continue to influence the opportunities I have had, and the course which career has taken.
